Copal Oro (Gold) is a semi-fossilized resin from Mexico that is golden in color and dusted with a white bloom. It is commonly burned on charcoal as a natural incense, it has warm, woody, and slightly sweet scent.

The Maya, Aztecs, and other indigenous groups considered copal to be "the blood of the trees," offering it to deities, ancestors, and the spirit world in rituals. Copal Oro is also used in limpias (spiritual cleanings) to clear negative energy, protect against malevolent forces, and restore balance to people and spaces. It is often burned on charcoal in homes, temples, and ceremonial circles.

Traditional healers (cuanderos and shamens) use copal smoke to facilitate deep meditation, dreamwork, and connection with higher realms. It is believed to heighten intuition and spiritual awareness.

This copal was ethically collected from the ground, as it has been for thousands of years, under ancient groves of Hymenea Courbaril trees along Southern Mexico's riverbanks. No trees were tapped or harmed in any way to yield this product.

Never leave burning incense unattended. Use a heat-resistant holder. Full safety disclaimer here.
