An updated and simplified version of the first Solace Incense blend.

Now primarily consisting of sustainably sourced Breu, also known as Breu Branco, which is a fragrant resin from the Almacega tree in the Amazon rainforest. It has been used for centuries by indigenous and local communities for both spiritual and practical purposes. The scent is believed to help deepen meditation, increase focus, and enhance spiritual awareness. Breu resin is often burned in ceremonies to clear negative energy and create a sacred space. It is also used in rituals for protection and some believe it enhances dreams and intuition. Often burned on it's own, but it can get sticky and messy, so this incense blend is a lovely solution.

The second ingredient is Buffalo Sage, also know as white sagebrush or prairie sage. Used by variuous indigenous tribes across the Great Plains and Southwest in rituals and daily life, Buffalo Sage is often burned as smudge to clear negative energy, purify spaces, people, and objects. It is also believed to create a spiritual shield, warding off harmful energies and influences. The strong scent also helps deter insects, making it useful for protection against pests. Buffalo Sage (Artemisia ludoviciana) carries a different energy than White Sage (Salvia apiana)--it's often considered more grounding and connected to the land. It is also more commonly wild-crafted and collected in an ethical manner with respect to the plant, to the land and to the land owners, as is this specific Buffalo Sage.

Finally, there is a light dusting of powdered Juniper, specifically Alligator Juniper (Juniperus deppeana), found at higher elevations in the Southwest. Burning juniper as incense is a longstanding practice in the Southwest, deeply tied to the land and the traditions of indigenous and Hispanic communities. Similar to sage, juniper smoke is used to clear negative energy, and is particularly valued for its protective and strengthening qualities. The scent of juniper is often associated with blessings and grounding energy, connecting the user to the land and ancestors. This juniper was collected from fallen trees in Northern Arizona.
